Àrmonia – Color correction project based on Armocromia and artificial intelligence
I am excited to present Àrmonia, a color correction project designed for the world of photography and social media, which was the focus of my final thesis in graphic design and represents one of the works I am most proud of. Thanks to careful research and technological innovation, this project has obtained excellent feedback and recognition. Àrmonia explores how artificial intelligence and the theories of Armocromia can create personalized photographic filters to enhance the characteristics of each subject, without resorting to excessive modifications.
Concept and objectives
Àrmonia was born from the observation of the daily use of photographic filters, which today range from automatic effects in apps to advanced correction tools used by professional photographers. The project explores how to offer a system of filters that do not transform the image, but enhance it while respecting the unique colors of each person. Àrmonia's approach is based on a fundamental ethic: we are already beautiful as we are, and enhancing our "friendly" colors can replace the need for invasive changes.
Project development
-
Color correction based on Armocromia
Each filter is designed to enhance the subject's color season, following the principles of armocromia to bring out the best in each image.
-
Artificial Intelligence and Seasonal Recognition
AI automatically recognizes the color season it belongs to and applies filters accordingly, for a personalized result.
-
Accessible UI and UX
Great care has been taken in developing an intuitive and accessible interface. The UI/UX has been designed not only to facilitate use by users of all levels, but also to ensure inclusive access. Every design and navigation element has been designed to ensure simple and easy interaction for everyone, responding to different levels of digital skills and habits.
-
Distance and proportional correction
Color correction varies based on the distance of the subject from the camera, to ensure harmonious and natural results.
Ethics and Natural Enhancement
A fundamental principle of Àrmonia is respect for natural beauty. Through this project, I wanted to highlight the power of photography to enhance, rather than alter, the real appearance of people. In an era in which self-acceptance is put to the test, Àrmonia proposes itself as an alternative to filters that mask, offering instead authentic enhancement.
Innovation and Impact
Àrmonia is a unique color correction project, currently not present on the market, and represents a concrete response to the modern themes of authenticity and personal enhancement. This thesis project was an exciting challenge, and I am particularly proud to have developed it to obtain the highest academic recognition.
